Anti animal rights people are always saying animals have no souls. It’s pretty obvious they do and it’s not too hard to prove it. Anyone with a pet can tell you of their dog’s nature. Most of dog nature, animal nature, like with humans, is mental and survival based, but their souls are evident too and you just need to see them as beings to recognize it.
When my kitty Petey died, our household lost alot of joy. That joy was him, his soul. He always kept us, his kitty mom and three siblings and me, his human mommy, up and together, and brought to us, everyday, sunshine and love. We miss him, his energy and his physical presence but we also miss his sweet, joyful, baby soul. His siblings and I mourned his passing for a very long time and we are only now, two years later, getting back to normal.

We grieve the passing of those we love and sometimes their suffering at their passing. But what we really are missing is their souls and that includes animals. It seems intangable but is noticable when they’re gone, and so is what they brought to our life and household. This emptiness is soul and animals definitely have them. Sometimes, like with humans, their souls are abused into hiding or silenced, but they are still there.
We must agree, if they have a soul, they are beings and therefore must have rights. If we love animals, they and their lives must matter and we must ensure we don’t cause them any suffering. This means all animals as they all can live, love, grieve, give, need, want, grow up and feel, just like us.
