Because its always and only for Israel.
Since October 7, we in the west have been a witting and unwitting audience to Israel’s outrageous hasbara lie narrative, due mainly to western media’s faithful parrotting and upholding of it. One of the most disturbing and harmful example of this narrative bias is how they write about “safety and security”. Not once have I ever read or heard expressed in western media a concern for “Palestinian safety and security”. It’s alway “Israel’s need for safety and security”. What a joke and ignorant, twisted concept of the reality in the oPt.
The Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank live with the reality and fear of constant unlawful, unwarrented murder, detainment, and daily acts of terror, theft, torture, abuse, starvation, serious harm, loss and cruelty from Israel’s citizens, army and government. And they have been for the past 77+ years as the Nakba, the Palestine Holocaust, desired, planned, systemically installed, executed, and maintained by Israel, has never ended.
Meanwhile, Israel’s need for safety and security is really only about protecting their illegal occupation and their pogrom of constant illegal expansion and racist, genocidal policy, laws and crimes from forced cessation or meaningful global condemnation. Real security and safety for Israeli citizens and even the nation state is not an issue. It has been and can easily be achieved with diplomatic ceasefire deals and a fair comprehensive peace and border deal.
But that path, the only sound, sane, moral one, would of course, lead to security and peace for all peoples of the region and that would force Israel to confront its real fears which are of ideological loss and and a forced end to its bully war mongering racist national identity and culture. That is what they need to protect and keep secure and constant weapons, aid, pity, and full global obedience to their racist propaganda, war lies and hide the genocide narrative is the security and safety they need to achieve it.
In truth, the whole concept is ridiculous as Israel is the most secure nation in the middle east, and one of the most secure nations in the world. And the security and safety they have is used only to protect their unlawful, criminal actions and the racist terrorist Nazis who run it, and those who kill and terrorize for it, not it’s civilians or peace.
Israel obviously doesn’t fear the Palestinian people, or Hamas, or any other militant group or even the “end to the Jews” and death of their own citizens. They only fear losing the ideological war of Zionism and being forced to give back stolen land, freedom, and legitamacy. And most of all, they fear the truth. And to them, security and safety from these fears matter more than the lives, security and safety, human rights, and innocence of the Palestinian people.
If the genocide in Gaza and extreme persecution and terrorism in the West Bank doesn’t make the truth and reality of this, and who really is in need of safety and security, clear to the west, I really don’t think anything can.
