Sharing My Journey

The next series of blogs I will be posting, are from my own recovery journals. I am currently in the recovery stage of PTSD and an eating disorder. Keeping, and using my journals have helped me through the roughest of days, and nights, and I hope they can help you as well.

Its very hard to understand trauma, yours or anyone else’s. Hard to understand, and hard to look at. That’s the problem. Until you can understand it, you cannot look at the sadness, anger, fear, the suffering with any genuine care or compassion. This apathy does include, and perhaps starts with yourself. Looking at our trauma, and understanding it, is the only way to a cure.

These journals are not easy to write, and might not be easy to read. Please be aware if you have trauma, they may make you afraid or raise triggers. That’s fine as long as you are safe with that at this time. If not, bookmark me and return when you can!

For those with trauma I say welcome, take care and please stay safe. It does get better, and it does take alot of time and effort. Thank you for joining me here, for reading my blog and for sharing a little of my heart felt words and journey.
