Who Leads the World

Every society and world needs its leaders. I think we can all agree on what the necessary qualities for leadership are. Character for sure, and also maturity, goodness, greatness, intelligence, and brilliance.  These plus wisdom, good values, morality, understanding, courage, honesty, and integrity. This is what’s needed in our future leaders, to have on top in our status quo.

It’s clear that most, if not all, conservative politicians, and many of today’s top celebrities are lacking in these qualities. This is definitely not okay in our politicians and world leaders. Nor is it okay in our celebrities either. They are the role models and leaders of today and thanks to media fawning, and cultural demands for mass, non-questioning adoration and respect, they have become more powerful than many elected leaders.

Popularity, how many followers you have, as well as money, fortune, and attractiveness,  are power these days. Character, brilliance, morality, values, worth no longer are. And that’s why today our world’s such a mess and just keeps declining. People used to care about one another. Now they care about the rich and famous, and how to emulate them. It has created a sinful and selfish society, and that too has lead to its decline.

As for adults, this high school world is their making. Its time to enjoy, respect and love children, and allow them their own world, and the tools and understanding to become good, successful people, but to personally grow up and be adults, not children’s peers and buddies. We need a mature world, run by real adults, and adult emotion and thinking. It’s very disturbing to see how immature the world is.

Sometimes, even in activism, there are the same high school attitudes of conformity, judgment based on shallow values, and worship idolization of those who are rich, fortunate, mean and bullies. This disempowers activism, and the fight, and allows the opposition to ignore and disparage it.

This culture of immaturity creates an isolated society, one of many separate parts, in which everyone is taught to be only for themselves and their own communities. It disallows social cohesion and peace, and it supports the rise of extremist, fringe and wrongfully radical movements and politics.

No one cares about the big picture anymore. Its all about surviving the rat race, and keeping up with, or doing for the popular kids: the rich and famous. We have created a dishonest world. The truth never dies, it continues lives under the lies. But its unspoken presence just creates negativity, fear, and the further promotion for those who bury it. We are seeing this being brought to life today, in politics, in media, and in our society.

Its an Emperor’s new clothes world, and it’s not children these days who’s job it is to point out the truth, its a job for the adults.  Those who see it, understand it and teach it, are doing a good job of getting the truth out there, but its not enough. Truth is precious and necessary, and we need to support leaders that live by it, and uphold it always, instead of those who support and live in the stress, mire, and disaster that is the natural outcome of trying to create, and enforce a world of lies and worthlessness.
